Miramar Beach

Miramar Beach listed amongst the most popular beaches of Goa due to its location. Located in the Capital of Goa; it is very easily accessible by the tourists as well as the locals. Named Porta de Gaspar Dias by the Portuguese; today it is called Miramar beach. This beach is also a hot spot to celebrate local festivals. Clean, filled with soft sand; it is quite a destination for evening walks and early morning strolls.
Its a locals den; so there is nothing much on the beach itself as far as water sports activities are concerned. 
Walk, swim and play on the sand – that is something which locals as well as tourists like to do here. A number of local shops selling souvenir items are lined up in one corner of the beach. You can shop for local stuff here, but nothing exotic. If you wish to buy something different then you have to walk to the main market of Panjim.
The best thing to do here is take morning and evening walks and try out the local stuff like Shawarma and Bhel Puri which are sold here in every second shop. Other fast food items too are worth trying if you are not that cleanliness crazy. This beach is quite crowded with a number of local people coming here.
So, keep an eye on your pockets. It is a good idea to keep little cash and card . Do not carry too much cash with you. Always keep your kids close by, and do not allow them to go out of eye – sight. Try to keep your travel guide by your side to be on the safer side.
.One can first reach Panjim; the Capital of Goa by air.From there one can then easily reach on foot to Mirmar beach. One can also hire a taxi or take a local bus to reach the beach. The nearest railway station is Karmali Railway Station about 12 kms away. Other stations are Margao and Vasco Da Gama railway stations. By road; the bus stand is just 3kms from the beach. It takes only 15 minutes to reach the beach by bus.

The Chapel of St Sebastian

The Chapel of St Sebastian At a distance of 2 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, 30 km from Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and 1 km from Fontainhas, Chapel of St. Sebastian is situated in Panjim City of North Goa. The Chapel of St Sebastian is a popular tourist attraction in Goa, built in 1818. This chapel is dedicated to St. Sebastian. In earlier days, people were troubled with the disease of pests and plagues, which was very frequent in Salcette area. They turned for help to St Sebastian who treated them through his mediation and miraculous interventions. This chapel has a small nave with an adjoining narrow corridor with a staircase leading to the choir. This whitewashed church has a striking crucifix which originally stood in the Palace of Inquisition in Old Goa. In the crucifix Christ's eyes are opened. Locals say that the crucifix adorning this church is magical and has the power to punish troublemakers and reward good people.

Reis Magos Church

The Reis Magos Church is positioned about six miles from the beach in the little hamlet of Reis Magos located on the banks of the Mandovi River in Panaji. Considered one of the oldest churches of Goa, Reis Magos was dedicated to the Three Wise Men of the Christmas story namely Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar. Built in 1555, the church has a brightly painted portico visible from across the river. Two former Viceroys of Goa were buried in this church. Franciscan friars, who were in charge of missionary work for the area, took reins of the church and founded a small seminary here. The highlight of the bright and extraordinary interiors of the church is the multihued wooden ceiling depicting the Three Wise Men bearing gifts to Baby Jesus, which is the focus of the intricately carved and painted reredos behind the high altar.
